I'm a Dj & Producer located in Panama, Central America. My music style varies is from deep house, progressive & tribal house, a little downtempo/trip-hop and some progressive breaks.
Why this name?
Most of my DJing sets are into deep house or deep progressive house. My middle name is Isaac.
Do you play live?
Yes. At local venues. I love it!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well people now have access to unknown and hard to find new artist, thats good. The problem is that you'll evetually need to sell your music to a label that will press it on vinyl (in my case) and then distribute it to the DJ stores. It will be harder to achieve because DJs are spending less on vinyls and downloading more MP3s. So, now chances are higher now that I won't have the money to buy my Alesis Andromeda :(
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If a major label would be something like Sumsonic, Fade Records, Kismet, Deep Recordings, Confi-Dance, Bedrock, Cyber Recordings... Well, sure I will.
Your influences?
Even though I doesn't seems to be that way, I'm very influenced by jazz and bossa nova. Every time I try to do something upbeat and tribalish the rich harmonies and subtles melodies of bossa pushes me towards something diferent. My tracks are the resultant vector of those two forces.
Equipment used:
Korg N5ex
Reason 2.0 / Cubase SX
Anything else...?
I began as a funk-rock band sax player and brass composer for 12 years in Brazil.

In late 2001, influenced by the parties in town, I began to produce house tracks but a couple of months later I realized that, to be a good producer, I needed some experience as a DJ. So I began my Dj career and 6 weeks later I got my first residence at a renowned local lounge.

Today I spin at the best local venues mixing deep, funky, disco, progressive and tribal house; sometimes including break beats, techno and rarely trance.

In January 2003 I restarted to produce and here are my first tracks.

------ Six months and a sound card later -------

Well I had to stop for a while and get money to buy some stuff. New sound card, good headphones. Go check Opus08, 09 and 10.
