A. K. A. Basilio, Loves to produce music and from time to time I enjoys hitting the mic. Emceeing is a wonderful tool of expression. An art that is taken seriously and thus serious compositions made of witty metaphors and political points of views. I loves all forms of hip hop, even some of the main stream tracks that make radio play. The game is difficult to be in, but I remain content with being underground and unsigned. I am not looking for fame and glory. It would be nice, but I enjoy and love making music. that alone satisfies me.

Why this name?

I have always brought a different type of perspective to different political views. those underground perspectives that no one realizes that are also relevant to a topic. Had a good friend that told me I had a crazy way if interpreting things, thus the name.

Do you play live?

I have performed in Cleveland, OH and made appearances on radio. Nothing special or grand, but a great experience.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

Yes, it allows everyone to check out music of others, Instead of getting jacked before they even buy an album. They are finding out whether or not an album is worth a purchase. It also allows people like me to give others an alternative to what they usually listen.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes, I guess I would as long as I could have some control over its process. I wouldn't want to be molded into something I am not

Your influences?

Number 1 influence are people like Gill Scott Heron, Nina Simone, Billy Holiday, Louis Armstrong, a bunch of other early jazz players, then KRs-1, Rakim, Common, Roots, Mos Def, Rass Kass Reflection Eternal. I also look at classical music, old school rock, oldies and soul. Production wise movie them music is a big inspiration.

Favorite spot?

Tijuana, Mexico

Equipment used:

I am mostly PC generated. with some other recording equipment integrated with it. Much of the production is created via software. Sometimes I will bring in live musicians to record into these tracks. I believe my quality is great and I don't think many folks can tell that I am not recording in a studio

We are all children of Adam...also some tracks on my page are old, getting better with deliveries, so you will be able to see and improvement in quality and deliveries as you listen from bottom up.
