Not every day does a young R&B prodigy come along and the music industry take notice, but are award Jamelia Ann Bradley a.k.a. [Lia Star] is coming through. Jamelia Ann Bradley was born to the proud parents of Mr. James Bradley and Ms. Arthurene Kilgore who knew they had something special in the young prodigy raised in New York City. Jamelia Ann Bradley [Lia Star] is an extremely young talented singer/songwriter with a sensitive and sensual voice. She is an attractive 17-year-old multi-talented artist from the city of Brooklyn, New York.
Lia Star’s lyrical verses sing about herself, peers, girls and what kids are not getting enough of. Her music states just how much she feels, and wants to make a difference. She realizes the importance of what she is doing and how important it is to be a good role model to the youth of today. Lia hopes that people hear her message in each song. When you see and hear Lia Star, all will know that there is hope within and for our youth. Her warm and passionate singing talents include: R&B, POP.
As a little girl, Lia was always intrigued by music. Being raised by her mother, Ms. Arthurene Kilgore, she was allowed to express herself through music at a tender age. In grade school, Lia was good with her schoolwork, but singing remained her main attraction.
Through the years Lia has acquired the gift to attract and capture, with her presence and mellow sweet style of singing, the hearts and soul of her peers. God has always been a strong force and guide in Lia Star’s life, so with the blessing she has received she began allowing herself to be a blessing to others with her voice. Creating a buzz for herself, she has obtained a spot as an up and coming new R&B artist to arrive soon.
She has been influenced by her mother who is an excellent singer in her own right, and by some of the best Female R&B artists in the music business. Artists such as Aliyah, Fefe Dobson, Beyonce, and Outkast, but influenced the greatest by a newer artist Rihanna to name a few. Lia knows exactly what she wants in her music, and what she wants people to hear. Lia hopes that the discipline that her parents taught her while in school will also help her to be successful in the world of music.
She is very good, hard working and talented. Even the best of R&B singers will lay back and watch with admiration. Lia Star has well enough proven herself to be a seasoned artist in a class by herself, and that is truly something to be thankful for. Just keep in mind that without God nothing will prosper, but with Him all things can be done.
