I'm essentially a solo artist...lyric writer, melody creator, who's driving ambition is always to create a meaningful song. I use bits and pieces of personal experience....like all writers, but mix in current events and important issues of the day to influence my "stories"
Why this name?
My band name is my given name, "Cary". Not playing in a band at this time. My enjoyment comes from writing the songs and melodies and allowing others to play my material.
Do you play live?
I have in the past...played as a guitarist in a dance band, some coffee house solo and acoustic work with some other friends in college.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Huge impact. People are doing downloads much more frequently now...and why not? It's a lot easier to sit at home and download the songs YOU WANT from the internet to your mp3 player, ipod, etc.
I understand now why some major artists and groups are upset, and CD sales are down!
