I would like to say that first and foremost, I am a musician. Music is at the core of who I am. In every waking minute and every night's slumber, music fills my atmosphere with the rhythm of my own life. I write every one of my songs in the hope that I might someday at the very least, relate how I see the world around me to others.
Why this name?
I do not have a band name as of yet. Finding the right people for a band is very difficult where I currently live.
Do you play live?
I do not currently play live, although I have some in the past.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet allows people to connect quickly and efficiently, thus more music is being heard. Unfortunately, the information highway has become so supersaturated with music and "musicians" whom seem to be overnight sensations, that it makes it very difficult for serious artists to become recognized. Many of us are overshadowed and simply lost in translation because people seem to want to be told what to like, verses actually doing their homework and finding out for themselves.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes
Your influences?
Most of my influences in music come from a time when music was actually music. Of course I'm talking about music ranging from the medieval ages through the late 1980s. I was classically trained on the violin so my tastes derive from western classical music. Aside from my classical roots, my discovery of 1970s rock gave me the boost I needed to create my own style of music. Bands such as: Kansas, Styx, Thin Lizzy, Def Leppard, Survivor, and Gary Moore to name a few, opened my eyes to a whole new side of the musical world.
Favorite spot?
Historic coastal cities.
