I am HARDharry51 aka Mike Vickers and I have been a singer/song writer going on 11 years now, I am a one man band because I produce and play all the instruments you hear in my music aside from the drums which I use recording programs and a drum tools disk to create. I live in Ontario in the growing town of Kitchener.
Why this name?
I got my band name from a great movie called "pump up the volume" it is the name of Christian Slater's character's alter ego "happy harry hard-on" or hard harry for short.
Do you play live?
yes but not professionally
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
the internet killed the music industry and the sales of cds and other media forms because of free downloads. however it opened more doors for people like me who don't have record deals or connections.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sell my songs to a record company for royalties while still reserving the right to play and record them. in short... hell yes! I want money for nothing and my chips for free... wait is it chips or chicks?

Your influences?
that is a hard question because I like to think I have my own sound but a lot of people tell me that I remind them of Dave Grole from the foo fighters, I have heard that I sound like trent resner but the nicer version? I think my main influences are Stone temple pilots, bob dylan, led zeppelin.
Favorite spot?

line 6, adobe audition recording program, 1969 fender (accoustic) guitar, rebuilt 1980's vantage avenger with fender telecaster and gibson humbucker pickups, rocker bass(walmart) for recording only, stagg - les paul replica, peavey envoy amp
