The band only has one fulltime member, and our "garage" is my home studio.
One other original member occasionally collaborates with me.
Why this name?
"The Deltas" was the first band I was in in the mid sixties, we were very much a garage band. The only gigs we played were the local skating rink, the county fair and a few private parties, but we rehearsed a lot in the keyboard player's basement and on the drummer's back porch, because none of us actually had a garage.
Do you play live?
No plans for playing live, it would be difficult, as members have departed the area, and in one case, this plane of existance.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has already changed profoundly, and it will change more in the near future.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Me personally, probably.
Band History:
The band's roots go back forty five years, to the days when garage bands were common. Interestingly, three of the original five members became professional musicians and made a living with music for many years. Currently, three original members, including me, still live in our original home town, one lives in Nashville, and one passed away several years ago.
Your influences?
Too many to even start naming, from fifties' rock and roll, to sixties' pop to seventies' rock.
Favorite spot?
Nashville, Tn; Bethel Community, NC; Melbourne, Fl
