I recorded most of my songs with Daniel Giron, a classical and flamenco guitar wizard who now plays rockin' blues guitar with me .
Bands I've perfomed with in the rockin' blues scene are the Albert Castiglia Band, Marcel Anton Band, D.W. Gill & Blues Phantoms, Walker Smith Band,
The Juke Joint Kings(Host Tennis and Blues Band), Willie Lomax/Shaun Brown Band, Loansharks(NY Band), Charlie Chaplin Band(Reggae), Impulse(Reggae) amongst others.
All of my songs are originals and I do all the songwriting. My new CD, entitled "Tennis, Blues and Other news", has a mix of Sports/Tennis songs mixed in with some funky, blues rockers.

Why this name?
Rockin' Ed has been the nickname many of my friends and music fans have given to me over the years. The name has sticked for the title of my band.
Do you play live?
I do vocals only and usually sing all original songs. I usually make up all of my own lyrics to a song that my performing band will create for me.
One of my most memorable shows was when I sang in front of 4000 people in between the Charlie Chaplain and Ningaman show in Negril, Jamaica back in 1991. Another one was in front of a packed house at Skipperssmokehouse in Tampa, Fl. with their Wednesday night Reggae band, Impulse. Also a two-song performance of my Tennis and Rockin' Blues songs with national recording artist, Albert Castiglia, at an ATP tournament in Sunrise, Fl. in 2007.
There was one great song I sang with the legendary Willie Lomax(over 8 CDs) and Shaun Brown, a local legend on the Hammond B-3 - at the now defunct Smokin' Dog Blues Club in Beautiful Brandon, Fl. in 2006.
Many great times singing with The Juke Joint Kings.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet gives every musician an opportunity to expose their music worldwide. The music industry is quickly evolving to catch up to the new craze!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely! I'm a team ballplayer first and foremost.
Your influences?
Peter Wolf(of J. Geils Band) ; Eric Burdon, Mick Jagger, Paul Westerberg.
Favorite spot?
The West Coast of Florida from October - May and The Hamptons from June- September. Skippers and Ace's Lounge for the Rockin' Blues!
Anything else...?
The silence is lifted and our new game is gifted!
Tennis is our game and excuses are our shame.
Poolstick Larry drinks his beer in a jar; everyone knows he's a bar star!
Nattybabbalatty, Where's your rock n' roll daddy?
Westerberg and McEnroe need to jam soon and with me!
