Four blue collar men from New Bedford, Ma. USA, making music for ourselves and anyone else who wants to enjoy it with us!
Why this name?
We read about a satellite losing it's orbit and reentering the atmosphere, only to crash into a Cadillac Coupe DeVille in Nevada desert back in the 70's!
Do you play live?
We play Boston, Providence, Hartford and surrounding area's. At the present time the band is in the studio!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Love it, people finally have a vast selection, just a few clicks away from their fingertips!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends, how it would benefit both parties!
Band History:
The band consist of Torpedo, (Arthur Hurd) Lead guitarist, when he met Paul Hadfield (Vocals, guitar) during his Pirate Radio Station show. Arthur heard Paul's demo Hollywould Say while listening to the illegal broadcast and said I've got to hook up to make the song better! FCC fined Paul $8,000 shortly there after! They got together when Paul was released from Federal Prison for subversive radio broadcasting, to make their self titled debut album Satellite Elvis (Mach 1)! Ed Macomber (drums) and Steve Rosenburg (bass) were with Art and Paul during those early years, touring extensively through out New England! Today Paul and Arthur still command the ship with Fred Saraiva (bass) and John Pacheco (drums) as they blindly follow their orders! Presently they are huddled in the studio making their forth coming album Unknown Captain!
