description
My music video for the song 'We Will Rise'. I'm even in it! A little blurry though.

Nmomn is one man's war on boredom and attempt to get the voices inside of his head to reach the people on the outside. It's a weird, f***ed up party that you are all invited to and it can range from chilled out songs with ukulele in them to scary stuff with screaming and the like.
I have a great time making it. Have a great time listening.

Why this name?
I wanted a name without connotations and which did not sound like a person's name. Also, palindromes excite me.
Do you play live?
I have never performed any of this music live but I intend to at some point, hopefully in the next year.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It brings down the giant record labels, helps the smaller ones promote themselves. Equality all around. Thus, I approve.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I'd have to see the contract, and I'd have to make a decision based on that but frankly I think major labels aren't what they used to be. Besides, if the label wants you, you're clearly good enough to make it without them.
Band History:
Nmomn was an experimental project without lyrics, Puntsack was an experimental pop project without lyrics, Teroscantian was a few somewhat downbeat songs that had lyrics.
All three of these merged to become Jimmy Kacy. I then decided that Nmomn was a better name and reverted to that again.

Your influences?
Bela Bartok, Devendra Banhart, Aphex Twin, The Mars Volta, Hurt, Scissor Sisters, Freeze Puppy, Nine Inch Nails, Fantomas, Tomahawk, Radiohead, Tool, Peeping Tom, Freeze Puppy, Dillinger Escape Plan, The Melvins, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum.
Favorite spot?
I'm quite fond of Cambridge, and Bristol is nice, though I haven't been there in a while.
Equipment used:
Whatever the track needs. I have no rules.
Anything else...?
I also like to make images and films to go with the music. I find that the project makes most sense to me when viewed as a whole entity. The music forms the basis, and the surrounding artwork is a reaction to that.
