This is pretty much a music project that I'm trying to put together. I have a melodic side to myself as well. I believe I owe it to having influences such as Death and Opeth.
I am in the process of writing the self titled album and of course when it's done, it will be for sale here on soundclick for only $6! (buy 3 for the ultimate in evil. lol)

Why this name?
It just seemed to fit. I really enjoy the death metal genre and most of the great names are taken. (laughs) I also gave thought to the idea that since this is a more melodic type of death metal, then perhaps the old gory names might be a little out of place. Also, I've always had a rather strange fascination with death. I know it's kinda morbid, but I think that there's beauty in everything; even death.
Do you play live?
Well this is just a project, however I'm also in a band called Sociopath (soon to be Psychosis Asylum)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It can really hurt it due to piracy, yet at the same time be a great asset because of the free exposure that up and coming bands get.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would be hesitant to sign with one unless it was waaaaaay down the road and I already had a rabid following. I find that indie labels are more likely to back what you're doing and not drop you at the first sign of trouble. Nothing against the major labels, it's just that I wanna look before I leap if you get what I mean.
Band History:
Sociopath 07/09 - Present: Rhythm Guitar (i also did lead vocals from 07/09 - 12/10)
Monolith 01/10 - 03/10: Rhythm Guitar
Dead Men Dancing 06/09 - 07/09: Rhythm guitar
Monolith 01/10 - 03/10: Rhythm Guitar
Dead Men Dancing 06/09 - 07/09: Rhythm guitar
Your influences?
Death, Opeth, Megadeth, Slayer, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Athiest, Venom, Possessed, Amon Amarth, Suffocation, Obituary, In Flames, Decrepit Birth, Sepultura, Bloodbath, and many others that I can't remember off of the top of my head. Most of them are in the metal genre, but I also dig genres like classical, jazz, and blues.
Favorite spot?
I used to live in Mesa, Az and I miss being out there. Lots of fun stuff to do and the laws they have out there are just great!!! I miss the friendships I had out there and they had great places to play out in the Phoenix area.
Equipment used:
I use Jackson, Ibanez, and Agile/Douglas guitars with string gauges @ .10 - .52. I'm looking to invest into a 7 string as well because it'd be great to have a larger range of notes. After some gear swaps and purchases, I now own a B-52 LS-100 and a Carvin GX412B 4x12 cab. I also use a peavey vypyr 15 for recording (Beyond Comprehension was recorded on this amp fyi.). I use an MXR 990 mic into a tascam US-144 interface. I use Reaper 3.0 as my DAW and I program the drums using Acoustica Beatcraft. (so damn easy to use and it sounds fantastic!)
Anything else...?
Thank you to those that have given me props and I ask for your continued support. I really wanna try to get this going as a band. :D
For those that are new to this:
Stay tuned. We will journey through the unknown together into uncharted realms with the Reaper himself. The Reaper Beckons........Will you answer his call?
