This is the beebsta, a one man band if you can all it a band. I rap to my own music, or write music for my lyrics, depending on your point of view. All done in my bedroom with a computer and a 6 buck mic. As Lo Fi as it gets, but i hope the sounds move you.

Why this name?
Its my middle name. Well, sort of.
Do you play live?
Only started rapping on stage recently. Still getting the hang of things. Entered a freestyle competition recently and still waking up to the aggression. Otherwise just happy to make my music which most MCs don't quite pay enuff attention to.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Allows sharing of music truly in real time. No more bulky tape players that are good for about 12 songs, tops.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yup. Someday. Right.
Band History:
Started making my own music about 3 yrs ago. Each new song is a learning process, I guess half the fun is in the journey. Took part in the MTV-JVC Sound Education (Singapore)Competition and bagged 2nd prize with Aa Yeah!( check out photos at http://www.jvc-asia.com/micro/mtv/gallery.asp ). And then the bomb dropped with 2nd place (again) at the Illest MC freestyle battle at Zouk, and 1st at the Sprite Hip Hop Battle. The last highlight has to be performing at the Esplanade for Made in Singapore in Dec 04.

Your influences?
Huge old skool fan. Forayed into jungle/ drum n bass 8 yrs ago. Sort of a middle of the road sound between the two, depending on how i like my speed. The lyrics are legit, and I belive in keeping it clean, cos then both kids AND parents get to hear what I have to say...no advisories required.
Favorite spot?
My bedroom! ( cos its got my equipment..what were you thinking?)
Equipment used:
Just a Pentium 4 that's starting to hang more frequently. Fruity Loops for the tunes, Hammerhead Rhythm Stn for the beats, and CoolEdit for the mixdown.

Hope to hear from anyone who wants to give a shout out or has something to say about my music. Also would be great to hear from Quadrophonia/ T99/ACEN/ Apotheosis fans cos those guys rock. Currently working on more hip hop and rap tracks...watch out for collabos with Lady E!
