Skrybe

Yes, this is the original Skrybe. The same one from rapmusic.com; the same one from the "other" music site; and the one that will remain the same while others struggle to maintain. Been doin it since 97. Hope you can feel me.
Why this name?
In the ancient times, the scribes were above the kings and queens. They were higher than the pharoahs. The way we know history like we know it is because the scribes wrote it like that. I am the Skrybe. I am the one that's on top, and I'm gonna make history - whether you like it or not.
Do you play live?
I'll rock a live show whenever possible. If you're in Hampton, VA or a nearby area, and you're trying to get down, holla at a brutha and we'll see what we can get together.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is how you're hearing me. What else should I have to say?
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Ehhh ... possibly ... maybe ... a distribution deal, if anything ...
Band History:
Summer 97 - C.N. takes a trip to visit his cousins; begins freestyling and writing rhymes with his family members

Summer 99 - C.N.'s cousins move to VA; they begin writing verses for songs and recording 30-second to 1-minute pieces on the computer under the aliases "Kurt G" and "Cydal"

Fall 99 - C.N. finds out that the rap name "Cydal" has been taken, and must search for a new name. C.N. meets "T-Bone" and "UBG", and begins battling and writing rhymes during spare time.

Spring 2000 - C.N., T-Bone & UBG form the group known as "The Onslaught". They register on various rap sites to sharpen their flows. T-Bone & UBG register their rap names. C.N. needed a name that would be known throughout every rap site. "Skrybe" is born.

Summer 2000 - "The Onslaught" is dispersed across VA, but not before recording verses for songs. Skrybe also begins recording verses for his own songs.

Fall 2000 - Skrybe records various freestyles and verses. Ideas begin to formulate for an album.

January 2001 - Writing begins for Skrybe's debut EP.

February 2001 - Recording for the EP begins.

March 2001 - "First Outta The Gate - The EP" drops. Plans for remixes and guest appearances for a full album begin.

April 2001 - Skrybe & fellow emcee SoothSayer appear live on Virginia Tech's college radio station, debuting Skrybe's track "Punchlines" on the radio.

May 2001 - Skrybe & SoothSayer appear for Skrybe's first live performance at Virginia Tech's "Apollo Night".
