Dread-X is a rapper out of South Cali. Now nearly 10 years since he first picked up a pen and put it to paper, his style continues to evolve and adapt into something all his own. With influences from multiple genres and a sound all his own, he continues to create and promote his own music.
Do you play live?
I love to play live, but I only get to it occasionally. Definitely not as much as I'd like.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Allows broke f***s like me to continue to make and promote music without support of any labels or distribution deals. Avoiding the idiocy of the "industry" completely. And allowing the music to work for itself.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends on the creative control outlines in the contract.
Band History:
Dread-X has been making music for over 10 years now. Once under the name "Nightmare", he started as a producer before adopting rapping himself. After stints in-and-out of local Metal acts, he decided to focus on his Rap music and work as a solo-artist. Since that day, he's released 2 albums and gained a small following. As his writing and production method continues to evolve, he intends to fully support his music and continue to produce, write, and promote himself independantly.
