play lo-fi play hi-fi  I Refuse To Get The Blues
I am currently putting together a new lineup but have played under this name for 20 years.
Why this name?
I am not the only Magic Mike out there And began using the whole name to avoid confusion.
Do you play live?
Yes. Most of the places in OKC: The Blues Saloon, The Biting Sow, The Blue Note, The Rockaway Tavern, Muddy Waters, The Belle Isle Brewery and Blue Belle Station are a few.

I like any place where the people listen.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I have met a lot of people over the internet that I would never been able to meet and it is really nice to have songs on different sites I can send People to. It give you a chance to do something regardless of the Major labels.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe.
Band History:

Magic Mike has been playing blues in and around Oklahoma for over thirty-five years. He has appeared on the same bill as Pat Travers, Lucky Peterson, Jim Dandy, Robin Trower and B.B. King; played on stage with Lonnie Mack and Pinetop Perkins; jammed with Johnny Winter and also some of B.B.KIng’s band. He is respected and looked up to by many musicians in the area. When you ask about blues and blues/rock in OKC, Magic Mike is one of the names you always hear.

He has been called a “…Oklahoma City Blues Legendâ€쳌 in Southwest Blues Magazine.

Lowell Fulsom, referred to Magic Mike as “…the real deal.â€쳌

Pinetop Perkins called him “a pretty fair guitar playerâ€쳌.

Lonnie Mack, said that Magic Mike was “…someone I will always remember.â€쳌

Parade Magazine, “..one of Oklahoma City’s True Originalsâ€쳌.

The Entertainer, “…could be Oklahoma’s best kept secretâ€쳌.

Magic Mike plays a wide variety of songs that are recognizable to any true blues lover while still maintaining individuality, and his original tunes bring a sense of familiarity even if they are new to the listener. . He will tell you, “If you try to sound like anyone it’s not really bluesâ€쳌.
