Heyy guys!! It's me! Angelo Munji ;] and let me start telling you a little bit about me =]
Why this name?
It's my name lol =]
Do you play live?
Yes, I do love to play live. I'm usually asked to perform at certain events that happen at my school, other schools or other events that I happen to hear about.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet helps show the world that there are artists who have amazing talent who aren't being played on the radio like the other famous artists out there.
Band History:
It all started in the state where I was born, New Jersey. I was just a regular kid who loved to have fun and play video games and all that but, when I was about 8 years old I listened to a couple songs with these catchy piano parts in them. I decided that I wanted to take piano lessons to play piano and yes, piano was the very first instrument I learned how to play. I tried to play guitar while I was playing piano but I just couldn't do it and so, I decided to put guitar aside for the time being. I played the piano pretty good but I felt that I wanted to try other instruments as well. Some of there instruments include the harmonica, percussion and the flute. All of them were pretty good experiences.
When I reached 7th grade, my classmates inspired me to try and play guitar again. After I started messing around with the guitar, I knew this was the instrument that I really wanted to stick with. So instead of lessons I decided to teach myself how to play the guitar and I remember the very first song that I learned how to play...Brainstew by Green Day lol!
At the end of my 7th grade my parents announced that we were moving to Las Vegas, Nevada. Of course it was a hard experience cause of everything I had to leave behind but I was sure that I was going to see everyone again. I arrived at Vegas and started my 8th grade class, there I found friends who also had a strong passion for music and so we all played music together. I was in a couple of band projects however, they just didn't work out as well as we thought and so, I just decided to play music with one of my closest friends, Ian Garcia.
High school came around and me and Ian got to meet other people who were in bands and played music too, and let me say they were pretty amazing. When Sophomore year came, me and Ian bumped into Tyler Turner who played drums and Adrian Pawlowski who played guitar. We all played different kinds of genre but when a special event called "Guitar Jam" came to our school, we all decided to play together as a band known as FALLACY! Our two songs we played together as a group were Unholy Confessions by Avenged Sevenfold and Slither by Velvet Revolver. To be honest, I didn't really think that Fallacy was gonna be a big project but turns out we really are. We decided to make it official and become a real band! Right now at this moment we are making originals and playing shows for everyone and plan to hit it big in the end! and thats how I came to be in the band Fallacy!
Playing metal with Fallacy is awesome but when Im by myself I make songs from a whole different kind of genre, Acoustic/R&B/Soul. I know its kind of weird that I like that kind of music especially when I come from a metal band but heyy, thats me lol. People are actually surprised when they hear me play this genre and they like it when I sing too. I've never taken any lessons of vocals ever, Im just the guy who sings in the showers and thats it lol. So, I decided on my free time I would make my own kind of songs as a single artist!
I usually like to base my songs on recent experiences or emotions that come into me. I just like to sit down have a piece of paper and write down what I feel and turning that into a song and so far I think it's doing pretty good =]! Well thats all I can say for now if you want to know more about me just message me ;] Thank you guys for visiting my profile and hope you guys like the music!
