I am an acid jazz/funk/blues/rock one man band, using a technique called "live looping". This is a technique where I use a loop pedal (Boss rc-50) and my guitar to layer all the guitar, bass and midi samples to create a full song in real time live. I do a good mix of smooth instrumentals to driving funk, to vocal covers of blues and funk and gospel classics.
Why this name?
Acidic stands for acid jazz which is the main genre, and the Loop is for the live looping technique I do.
Do you play live?
Maine, I love playing out and getting the reactions from the people as to where and how all the sounds are coming from.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it easier for us independent artists to really succeed.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends if it includes full booking managment.
Band History:
I started doing live looping in 2006 and have evloved it to where it is a smooth thing for me to play live.
