OFFICIAL ARTIST BIO:
Louis Guidone from New York started experimenting with music at 17 back in 1990 on an eclectic assortment of samplers, tape decks, effects, synths, drum machines, and so on. He now makes music on his computer.
Although music was an on again off again thing for a while, such as during 1998-2000 while studying Commercial Photography at the Fashion Institute of Technology (from which he graduated Magna Cum Laude) things got very serious in 2006 when remixing went on the back burner (despite increasing requests for his skills) and creation of original compositions dominated the bulk of his time.
His first album ?I Go On With My Life? was launched on 8/02/08 and is available on CD through his website.
He had so much fun covering some of his favorite Depeche Mode songs for the Modeified project (he contributed Photographic, Fools, and Ice Machine to Modeified 7) that he decided to make more and release his own Depeche Mode and Recoil tribute entitled ?Destruction Time Again? on September 1st, 2008. The reason he chose ?Photographic? is not just because of his passion for photography and the group but also because he was once approached by Some Bizzare Records. Unfortunately, he did not trust label head Stevo Pearce and backed out, deciding to proudly self release without regret. ?It?s bad enough Martin Atkins is selling some contest remixes I made of Pigface and RX, but then along comes another Brit I once thought highly of to use me and f*** me over.?
CD's 3 and 4 are collections of Instrumentals (Alpha) and Experiments (Beta).
He has remixed many artists, but most noticeable are his remixes of Information Society which appears on their website, PTYL which included him on the download version of LOKI:God Of Change:The Remix Album, Diverje who put his work on their UNLEASHED remix cd and FREE BEER mp3 album, Leather Strip who he has been a fan of from day one (L.S. used 2 of his photographs for the Limited Edition Box Set of Faetish/Haelloween).
As a photographer, he has also been featured in Popular Photography Magazine, the F.I.T. campus and alumni magazine, the 2006 Dark Arts Festival, BYTE NYC (defunct fetish party known worldwide), Contempt, and BERLIN NYC.
He plans to release 1 more album by the end of 2009 to be available on CD at www.louisguidone.com

Why this name?
It's my real name, and I'm not ashamed of myself :-P
Do you play live?
I spend so much time in the studio that I feel live shows would require too many humans to train...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's killing CD sales and the sentimental feel of having a physical release in your hands.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I came so close too, but I have trust issues. Maybe if someone trustworthy approached me and made it worth my while.

Your influences?
Honestly, I hate the whole "sounds like" thing. Even when I am covering someone, I prefer to be ME, Louis Guidone. sensuality, sexuality, love, war, death, inner turmoil, angst, loneliness, depression, frustration, gossip, murder... your damn hatred, paranoia, and jealousy, the voices in my head, life experience, women in garter belts corsets and skirts... I listen to electronic, experimental, sound collage, noise, techno, acid, industrial, synthpop, idm, ebm, new wave, good classic rock, Beethoven, gothic, gothic rock, and so on... and have for a long time. I especially like bands on the labels DSBP, Alfa Matrix, Wax Trax, Mute (Grey Area mostly), Van Richter, Steelcore, 21st Circuitry, Factory, Cop International, Ras Dva, Antler Subway, Play It Again Sam, Solielmoon, Ant Zen, Noitekk, Dossier, and so on... as well as many right here on myspace and elsewhere on the web that are still unsigned either by choice or not. People have asked me who some of my favorite bands are, so here's a few: Diverje, Leather Strip, Depeche Mode, Nitzer Ebb, Recoil, Wumpscut, Information Society, Pink Floyd, Human League, Talk Talk, Duran Duran/Arcadia/Power Station, Yaz, Skinny Puppy, Thomas Dolby, Big City Orchestra, Joy Division, Rozz Williams, Noisex, Soft Cell, The Tear Garden, Cabaret Voltaire, Covenant, Kraftwerk, Front 242, TG, EN, Chris and Cosey, Din, Wire/Dome/Duet Emmo, Digital Poodle, Manufacture, Fad Gadget/Frank Tovey, Razormaid, Orbital, The Young Gods, ?;GRUMH, Sloppy Wrenchboy, Foetus, Controlled Bleeding, Paul Barker, A Split Second, Moev, Ultravox, Visage, Gary Numan, Malign, Lustmord, Kompressor, Schaumgummi, ChemLab, Clock DVA, TAGC, SPK, etc...
Favorite spot?
