You haven't heard rock passion until you've heard Michael Jaymes perform live.
Why this name?
I didn't want to choose a professional name that would be too far departed from my real name so as to not appear departed from my music. Michael Jaymes it was. I decided to go with a little different spelling for Jaymes to make it interesting.
Do you play live?
Yes I play live and ! LOVE IT! ! all feel that's what ! got into music for, is to enjoy sharing my talents and excitement for music with others. I perform both solo and as the lead singer of a country crossover band called Alpha Dog Band.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
! feel that the internet is one of the best ways to start a grass roots marketing campaign for my music so I absolutely love it!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes!

Your influences?
Neil Young, Hendrix, The Dave Matthews Band, Radiohead
My biggest influence comes from working in the studio with a great engineer and great musicians. Being able to be inspired to add tracks to a song is very important to me... it's my production tactic.
