I like to compose eclectic music and will fuse two unrelated genres at times (the genres I like to combine the most are ambient, new age, world music, and classical). I love to use reverb in most of my pieces. On occassion, I will compose a piece mainly for piano, since I am learning to play piano in the present time.

Why this name?

I chose the name "Kelly" which is the middle name of my real name, and "forte" which is the musical directive for loud.

Do you play live?

I don't play live, not yet.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

I believe that people will be buying more MP3s than CDs with the internet.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I might look into that as I become more known.

Band History:

I started composing at the age of fourteen during Christmas in 2004, when I recieved Reason 2.5 for the first time.

Your influences?

I have several influences: David Arkenstone, Yanni, Bjarne O., Yes, Deep Forest, Vangelis, Amethystium (he is my favorite and a huge influence), Carbon Based Lifeforms, Aes Dana, Paul Oakenfold, Mars Lasar, Harry-Gregson Williams, Joey Fehrenbach, Jens Buchert, Sigur Ros, and numerous ambient artists that I have heard on Soma FM internet radio.

Favorite spot?

My favorite city is my hometown of Huntington Beach, where the ocean shines like the sun that illuminates it.

Equipment used:

I use Propellerheads Reason 4 and an M-Audio Radium USB keyboard. I'd like to buy a pocket sampler someday so I can record samples for use in my music.
