Why this name?
Arco-iris (a Rainbow) is a bridge between the real and imaginary. People all over the world have different beliefs and different ways of interpreting the same thing. When a rainbow appears everyone is struck by its magic and its beauty. What is the real meaning of the rainbow? Go look at one and you will know. There are things we just know and those are the important things in our life. The things that need no explaination and are often conveyed in through our music and soul.
Do you play live?
We are booking festivals, casinos, charities or fund raisers throughout the U.S. & Europe.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Incredibly!! I am astounded by the musical and creative artistic talent this world contains. Unfortunately we are of limited means (money) and all can't become "world famous" musicians. But there are thousands of "great and accomplished" unknown musicians. Thank you "Internet" and "Soundclick" for the "awakening" and grand opportunity.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't know what I could offer a major label that would benefit their profit chasing pursuits!
Band History:
I am the founder of this project. Originally started in 2000. Not much of history, I've gone through good and bad times and mostly static times.
Your influences?
Not in any particular order but I am influenced by musicians such as Rebecca Mauleon-Santana, Sting, Spyro-Gyra, Oscar Hernandez, Michael W. Smith, Yanni, just to name a few!
Favorite spot?
Catalina Island in the arms of my loved one!
Equipment used:
Let's see, I use a Korg Karma, XV-5080, Roland XP-30, Band-in-the-box, Soundtrek Jammer 5, Sonar, MasterWriter, Yamaha AW16G.
Anything else...?
I trust you enjoy this music as much as I enjoyed composing and recording it. I am appreciative that you - the listeners, gave me the opportunity to have a location to place my music to be heard. If you have any comments - don't be shy - drop me a note.
