1 Peter 1:23 is the foundation of The Incorruptible Alliance. We were formed for ONE primary reason... to expand the Kingdom of Heaven. We do this thru the best medium we know how... Christian Rap, Holy Hip Hop, or Set Apart Spittin (as some of us affectionately call it.) In addition to this major objective, we also do our best to promote a lifestyle of moral excellence, using the ancient writings of King David as our road map! Psalm 101... Thru this (and the rest of God's Word) we become INCORRUPTIBLE!
Why this name?
The name comes from a powerful set of scripture written by a man named Peter. In this holy text (1 Peter 1:23) Peter describes how as Christians we are not born of a corrupted seed, but an INCORRUPTIBLE seed! The flavor and life of the crew comes from Psalm 101! When a person totally commits to a lifestyle of moral excellence, they become INCORRUPTIBLE! Without question, it is a battle to maintain this status with temptation everywhere. To maintain the title INCORRUPTIBLE requires commitment!
Do you play live?
We ABSOLUTELY work live... anywhere in the world where our 'propaganda' can be spread! :) Most special moments are when young people are moved by what we spit and end up signing the adoption papers and joining our fam!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We are in a time of constant and never ending change. The internet hypercharged this and was a catalyst to change occuring at a more rapid pace. Who knows where we will be in 2 years... MP3's might be like 8-tracks by then.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the major label shared the same vision that we have, we would certainly consider it. Our main focus is to spread this gospel... if someone is willing to give us a bigger speaker by which to be heard, then by all means, we are down for it.
Band History:
This Alliance (between Merse and FS2) just formed this year. We are excited to record the history and adventures that take place from here on.
Your influences?
EVERY SINGLE EMCEE that has spit on a mic in an effort to expand the Kingdom... those are our influences. Of course, The HOLY SPIRIT is our PRIMARY influence.
Favorite spot?
Muncie (that's home)... But we also love 'NAP town.
Equipment used:
Our mouths are our main equiptment. We take it everywhere. Anything else we can get... it simply enhances our efforts.
