Combine all-original rock, blues and funk. Season with English blues rock, 1960s R&B, gospel, soul and even a taste of country. Shake vigorously.
Why this name?
Lucy is an Australopithecus found by Donald Johanson and Tom Gray in Ethiopia in 1974. Celebrating their find later that night, the Beatles' song "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" gave them the inspiration for Lucy's name. There's more about the original Lucy at the Human Origin website.

So why "Lucy's Bones"? Perhaps our name is a metaphorical homage to the longevity and social ramifications that all forms of music have on our current culture and throughout the ages. Perhaps Lucy inspires us to get back to our roots. Maybe we think skeletons are really cool...
