Singer/Songwriter/Violinist/Composer/Performer.
Why this name?
Zehera is my real name. It means flowers / blooming in arabic.
Do you play live?
Yes. I play live at most venues I get bookes. I love performing live, it gets my adrenalin pumped, and I give it my all. The most special moments, are when you can see the crowd are enjoying the show, and sing along your tracks. That is the best feeling.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet has had a huge impact on music for the best. Musicians who before would never have had a chance to share their music with the world, can now do that, and listening to diverse music is so accesable with the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would, if the major label, would let me continue to grow artistically and not restraining my musical background or pulling me in a mainstream soulless direction
Your influences?
I have many, but the one who inspired me to become a singer, was Whitney Houston. I grew up listening to her powerfull voice, and she was a great inspiration. I also listened to oldschool hiphop, Ray Charles, Boys II Men, and many more. Basically I was very into RnB & Soul.
Favorite spot?
I would have to say Copenhagen, where I grew up and live. Home Sweet Home.
Equipment used:
My violin, my voice, my pen, and my heart.
