Adhering to an obscure branch of Taoist philosophy (mainly consisting of advanced embalming techniques and elaborately sculpted facial hair), the detours bring their eclectic blend of Julian Cope-inspired mandolin deathrock and 75min harmonica solos to an information super-highway motel near you.
Band History:
The detours ran away to the circus shortly after witnessing Sid Barratt torture his guitar at the RoadHall Ballroom back in '67. After extensive tours of the Soviet Eastern Bloc, frequently sharing the bill with such illustrious company as mime artistes, Grand Master ballerinae and troupes of trained cats, this motley crew have returned to the UK.
