I play bass and sing for The Trist, a Sacramento, CA based all original adult contemporary band with a 70s/80s vibe. This page is for my works in progress and songs that are new or haven't been recorded by the band yet.
Why this name?
My name is my name
Do you play live?
I play with the band at coffee places, parties, fundraisers etc.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is a great place to share your music and get exposure. Awesome place to get feedback on your songs.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I might sign if the conditions were right. I have a family to support.
Band History:
I'm sure we'll create a band page, but we've been playing together off and on since high school.. over 27 years now.
Your influences?
Whether they influenced me or not, I love Kansas, most Southern Rock, certain progressive rock and artists like Billy Joel.
Favorite spot?
Born and raised in Sacramento, CA. Still here.
Equipment used:
I have a Carvin LB40 bass as my main axe. A Carvin Acoustic guitar for some performances and a Deltatone Strat for recording at home. Yamaha DG80 amp that I share with the band and a Carvin Acoustic Amp. At home I love my Cakewalk software, Presonus Firebox and MXL 63M Condensor mic.
Anything else...?
Just trying to stay connected with the music world.
