Welcome Welcome to my web page! Thanks for visiting and listening to my creations. Please feel free to leave a comment as it will help me to to become a better producer for the furture. As you know my name is Alexei Gontcharov, i moved to Canada from Russia in 1996 with a goal in mind to become a successfull producer. I have been creating tunes ever since i was 14 years of age with a programm called Fruity Loops. As the programm expanded and upgraded so has my sound and today i bring you the latest in my works. I hope you enjoy as much as i have making them, seriously let me know what you think after you listen i will be happy to hear from you, good or bad :).
Why this name?
In today's world it is not as accepted as it used to be to hide behind a different name. It creates a fake personality that everyone knows you by not for who you really are. By being known by your realy name I belive it creates more of a "reality like" athmosphere cause you are not hiding behind a mask.
Do you play live?
I do play live mostly in the summer. My location varies around Calgary, different clubs and pubs that accept the electronic music that i bring to the crowd. I love playing live just for the pure thrill of watching groups of people dancing and screaming to your sound. I had a few special moments in my time one in particullar happened last year at one of my parties. After a set that one of my dj friends layed down, it was my turn to come to the decks and spin the music i brought for that night. The reaction of the crowd was so great that i was up on the stage that i believe i even saw a bar tender turn his head to see what was going on. Once i started playing, there was not a single person sitting down, everyone was dancing!! That was the geratest rush and a fantastic moment in my career so far.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I believe that the internet realy broadens people's horizons when it comes to music because you can sample the music that you see from a new artist, create and post comments to let the artist know how you feel, stay connected with your favourite artist easier. All of these things shape the music indistry, i actually think that without the internet the music industry would not be where it is today, the quality would not be there and it would be really difficult for people and artists alike to stay in touch.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the opportunity came up i would absolutely love to sign a record contract.
Band History:
I moved to Canada from Russia in 1996. Almost immediately i joined an orchestral band where i played a trumpet for 5 years. As I became more older my passion for music grew more and more to a point where io had melodies playing in my head that i had to create somehow. I was intorduced to a programm called fruity loops which opened a whole set of new doors for me. As the years went by i grew more aware of what is expected of me as an artist thus tweaking my sound and creating songs accordingly. Music has been my passion since i was a little boy and heard a song called moscow by a german group i forgot the name of. Ever since i heard that melody something drove me to make it, to create something better. Which brings me here, tho this website, with hopes that i can one day bring my sound to the world.
Your influences?
My style has been a changing over the past couple of years from melodic trance to epic to a mix between progressive trance and progressive house. My biggest influence has been Dj Tiesto for the most part but then a few more artist started emerging steering more in the different direction. Artists like Ferry Corsten, Marcus Schulz and Roger Shah have been a great influence on my music.
Favorite spot?
My favourite spot would probably be Cancun, Mexico. I have had some great times at that place, it feels like it's a 24/7 party town.
Equipment used:
Currently I am using Fruity loops 8 XXL producer edition along side with pioneer 800 mk2 for both turntables, a behringer mixer and a CME M-Key Pro Midi Keyboard.
