My name is Mista C.E.O, and I am currently residing in San Antonio Texas. I have a demeanor and drive unmatched by many when it comes to becoming successful. I have set many goals for myself this year and plan on accomplishing them. I have a versatile style and a different look being of Korean descent. I like many others want to be considered as one of the greats in the industry past or present but now a days it's not what you say it is what you are willing to do to get there. I have taken a year and a half off from music to regroup and get my mind straight for a very serious push. My manager Bigg Flipp and myself have projected the skies the limit, and I plan on exploring that to the fullest! God Bless~
Why this name?
There is no better name to describe someone in big business that is about big business than C.E.O
Do you play live?
I participated in a live freestyle battle on a very popular local radio station Power 106.7 called "da Chamber". They also did a live version which I was asked to participate in as well. I have also performed live at some local venues in San Antonio such as The Boss Bar, Knockers and Big Dawgs thanks to local promotion group Bubble Rap Inc.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes the promotion aspect. You can reach so many more people with a click of a button than walking and talking. It has damaged the game due to pirating and fake expectations. Overall the internet if used correctly can be the best tool in a artists belt.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Definetly, that is the ultimate goal for a lot of artists. To make a career out of something you truly love to do.
Your influences?
I find artists influence to be a way of becoming uncreative. To much people try to rap or sound like one of the rappers they idolize. I do respect hip hop artists just don't draw influence from any.
Those who I respect include: Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Ludacris, Jay-Z and Chamillionaire.
