AnimA Motrix is Daniel Anthony Ezekiel Niehaus. Daniel has been playing musick for most of his life and began his musickal adventure by singing in a boys choir in a Catholic Church. He then as a young boy was trained in the art of classical piano and later in this early teens became influenced by bands such as Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr. Daniel then formed a duo with Justin Patrick Moore known as Astral Surf Gypsies. Astral Surf Gypsies 1st album is released on Bunkier Productions and is titled "Breath of The Rat Lady", the title being formed from various words in the tracks titles featured on the album. Daniel in his early 20's was greatly influenced by musick he heard while living in the mountains of Tn, called psychedelic trance. He in fact became so inspired by the sounds in this musick that he dedicated the next several years to learning how to create electronic musick in general, and to composing musickal creations using computers and synthesizers. He has been deeply inspired by musicians such as Sphongle and Bluetech, as well as numerous psychedelic trance musicians. I hope you enjoy this musick!
