Hello and welcome to the BfG area of SoundClick.

BfG (we had to use the abbreviation as 'the B word' wasn't allowed) is a 'band' (of sorts) trying to have fun making music. We enjoy ourselves doing it and hope some other people can enjoy listening to it. We're realistic and expect the majority of people to either not care about it whatsoever or dislike it but hopefully some people will fall into neither category and get some genuine enjoyment from it. Whatever your opinion, it's not going to cost you anything other than a couple of minutes of your time.
Why this name?
The reason behind the band name is fairly obvious. It's merely a juvenile, slightly rude play on the title of the wonderful film Witchfinder General. There's nothing misogynistic hidden in there conspiracy theorists. In fact, we're half woman. That's not to say we're each 'half and half' (like rice and chips) but rather that we have one female and one male making up BfG most of the time (normally consisting of the female doing the recording and the male playing instruments but occasionally the other way round).
Do you play live?
As BfG consists primarily (although not exclusively) of one unpopular person (not enough friends to make up a band) there's little chance of any live BfG performances anywhere near you any time soon. If it's possible to cajole other people into helping out, that may change.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
On a personal level, it means BfG can put music 'out there' for people to hear. This must be the way with lots of other unsigned and minor acts who, otherwise, might find it difficult to give people the opportunity to listen to the songs they make.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We very much doubt that would ever be a possibility. However, should someone from a major record label come a'knocking on our door, determined to throw bags full of money at us for writing silly little songs, who are we to turn him/her away?
Band History:
There's little history to tell. We've been attempting to record as BfG since about 2006. Our earlier recordings were fairly woeful and we hope our more recent efforts have improved a bit. All being well, we should continue to improve until we reach the level of 'passable' while on our death beds.
Your influences?
This is something which only leads to disappointment. If I write a list of music types and band names here, people will only be disheartened when they actually hear BfG.
Favorite spot?
That would mean going outside. Eeek! Hermits don't go outside.
Equipment used:
Various guitars, basses, electronic drums, keyboards and whatever else is lying about. 'Use' is not the same as 'Play well'.
Anything else...?
Thanks for taking the time to read this and Happy Listening!
