I grew up in Portland, OR, but have migrated south to California where it is warmer & that certain quality of synchronicity & abundance seem to be more prevalent for me.
Music has always been such an inspiring form of expression & self discovery for me, and ever since I found electronic dance music I have been on the path of contributing to the movement when I can. It's more than entertainment. It is a form of healing, creative expression of the divine, and elucidates endless depths of self awareness in indescribable ways, while acting as a magnet, bringing together symbiotic energies in ecstatic waves of eager co-creation.
Why this name?
The Keys of Enoch, 303:46-52
Do you play live?
Occasionally. Many other things in my life to allow for regular shows. Special moments for me include throwing events in India and Thailand in '07 with Zuvuya.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows for unlimited exposure to those who wish to be exposed, as well as a broader range of material for the DJ to sift through, and a medium which allows much faster perusing of tracks.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It would all depend on many things.
Band History:
I began DJing and producing in 2001 with a pair of Numarks and a Korg Electribe sampler. I began DJing hip-hop, then became fascinated with the dance scene and moved onto breaks, upped the tempo to drum & bass, and after exploring that darkness, moved onto house music, which will forever move my soul. I have always been a fan of ambient, downtempo breaks & certain IDM.
Your influences?
Everything is a musical influence. Sometimes not even the music itself, but the feeling being conveyed, which can be transmuted into any genre if done properly. I could rattle off a list of artists, but that would would be pointless. Just listen!
Favorite spot?
P-town, Eugene, Shasta, Grass Valley/Nevada City, SF, Thailand.
Equipment used:
Ableton Live & an Akai MPK49 for producing, Traktor for mixing.
Anything else...?
Thanks for looking! Much Love!
