Influence is a hard working producer/DJ who is looking to bring some funk back to Hip-Hop. Frustrated with the state of the game he is determined to show any and everyone his talents. A classic golden era setup( mpc60, s950, planet phatt, jv-1080, pro tools, and records records) is what his arsenal consist of. He is always down for collaborations and working with new artist who take there craft seriously. Get at me and if its meant to be, it will happen!
Why this name?
It's what music does to me and its what I like my music to do to others.
Do you play live?
Not so much right now but do love rocking live shows when I get the chance.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives everyone a shot who never had a chance before. But in turn its saturated with a bunch of whack ass knock offs!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If I was in that situation I prob would have enough power to just start my own label. So maybe no......who know's.
Your influences?
All golden era producers........New and upcoming ones Marco Polo, Omega Watts, Statik Selektah, Black Milk, Illa J, some new boys are really coming with some crazy shit. I love Dylan, Cream, Damian Marley, the O Jays, Teddy P, Old Funk/Soul, Like some hippie sh*** to.
