Santiago Cabakian was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, on May the 30th.,1979.
He started his musical studies when he was six years old.
Since 1994, he has been playing, recording and producing with a wide variety of local artists.

Some relevant steps in his career:

• December 2005 - According to S.U.D.E.I. (Uruguayan Society of singer-songwriters), he is the first metal drummer who brought out two cd’s the same year.

• May 2006 –“Graffiti” award with the band “Radical” for “Best heavy metal record”

• October 2007 – He is invited by Modern Drummer magazine to take part in his blog.

• December 2007 – Recording of the theme “Migajas”, with Lmental Fernando Santullo (ex “Peyote Asesino”), included in Índigo’s CD “Al vacío”.

• November 2008 – Recording and producing of “Ejecución”, AplanadorA’s CD, with Hugo Fattoruso.

• During the last eleven years he has comitted with teaching drums, having imparted more than four hundred courses.
