Music and Words are powerful in RELATIONSHIPS between men and women. The right song for the right occasion delivered with feeling and passion can create a desirous atmosphere. The right word or words, spoken with inflection, emotion, honesty, and passion can do the same.
Well written lyrical music is poetry. I would like to share with you one of my original poems from my latest book entitled, "What Women Want, What Men Need to Know." I will add a new poem and different scene every 3 days. So, please don't miss the message. Let's set the SCENE for this poem:
It's a clear evening, and the stars are shining brightly. (if they are not hidden by the big city lights) The moon is also shining brightly. (a full moon will make the poem even more effective)
You are with that special person in your life or someone you would like to be special. This poem is ideal for a GUY romancing his LADY. However, ladies may wish to recite it to a guy or STRONLY suggest their guy recites it to them. (smile) YOU MUST NOT READ THE POEM. It has to be naturally spoken, therefore you must learn and memorize it. (not at all hard to do) Now recite the poem with pauses, inflection, passion, emotion, and sincerity, while you both gaze at the moon, pausing when it feels right to gaze into each other's eyes.
I will not attempt to GUARANTEE or promise you the outcome of the moment or evening, but you may be pleasantly surprised - GOOD LUCK!!

Just like you, it's impossible to ignore, magnetic to the eye.
The moon affects the tides from many miles
away.
No matter where you are, you affect my heart
each and every day.
The moon will change its appearance from time
to time, but its beauty always remains.
You are truly lovely, morning, noon and night,
and you'd be absolutely stunning standing in the rain.
Shine on harvest moon with you lovely glow.
And to you my beautiful lady, like the moon, I truly love you so!

Alfredo Leon is CEO of Sweet Harmony Records LLC, with 25 years of writing, producing, and performing vocals in the music industry. Alfredo has continually worked on honing his craft with mentoring from highly successful professional music industry personnel. To date, Alfredo has released 5 vocal and 2 instrumental Jazz, Pop, & Easy Listening CDs. His 3rd instrumental is to be released in Spring, 2009. A Best of Album, volumes 1&2 (30 tracks) is scheduled for release in February, 2009. Alfredo has released the following 'message' singles, "Let Me Teach Again." (Ode to the teacher) The song was written as a dedication to teachers and the difficulty they encounter when faced with the daily challenge of educating today's youth. Alfredo taught Special Education at the secondary level for 20 years in the Los Angeles area. He also released "All Their Life." (a tribute song for the victims of Hurricane Katrina).
Alfredo is a published poet, with 3 complete poetry books to date, entitled, "Coming Together In Harmony," Racial Harmony, Understanding, and Tolerance, "101 Values With a Twist," a poetry book for children (ages 8-15) and his new scheduled to be released book in Spring, 2009, "What Women Want and What Men Need To Know." Why this name?
My full surname is Alfred Leon Johnson. I normally go by Al Johnson, which is the name I use on some of my vocal tracks and all of my instrumental tracks, however, I thought it would be a little more SPICY if on my romantic, easy listening tracks and CDs, I used the Spanish translation of my first and middle name, Alfred = Alfredo and Leon doesn't really have to be changed, simply pronounced differently in Spanish and English. Hope this makes sense. (smile)
Do you play live?
I do play live, in the Los Angeles area, but currently I'm primarily doing studio work, but I enjoy playing live very much!
I would say to date, my special moment regarding music, was the night of my first live performance. I was a little nervous, with friends, family, and their friends in attendance. I had a full house and it went quite well. The nervousness vanished after singing the first track.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
mp3 makes it easier for independent and unsigned artist to control their own music, get exposure, and not be taken advantage of by the large record labels.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure!! I would make sure I had a top quality Entertainment Attorney representing me, insuring that the contract was not one that is 95% advantages for the record label.
Your influences?
I enjoy vocal music that has wonderful lyrics that tell a story. I write and make a exerted effort to produce the quality of music that people can relate to in their daily lives or what they see in the lives of others. I strive to make music with wonderful melodies, that are smooth, romantic, passionate, and meaningful. I also appreciate smooth Jazz instrumentals that deliever the same. Favorite spot?
I enjoy being by the ocean. I tend to create quite well in that environment. I have a number of favorite cities.
Equipment used:
I use a Kustom Profile System sometimes for Gigs. It is fully equipped to give a quality performance live, when I don't have the musicians backing me.
In studio, we have a full 32 tracks system, with Reasons and Protools to produce top quality tracks, professionally produced and mastered.
