November of 2009 I awoke from a 35 year slumber. The Spirit in me set me free to write again and I haven't stopped yet. Over 100 songs written and many more yet to come. A solo artist mainly, with a few friends to help out from time to time. No song is culled and all genres are likely to surface. From 4 track to modern software my journey is constantly evolving. Only my limited abilities stop me from completing the songs that run rampant in my head. Playing by ear has its advantages and its disadvantages. Playing all the instruments has been fun and a real challenge. I hope you find a song for you.
Why this name?
That is a very long discussion.
Do you play live?
Yes, I play live at venues that allow original music. My all time goal is to play Austin City Limits and The Imperial Theatre in Augusta, GA This is what I want to do...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
.I would prefer to write.
Band History:
I started in the late 60's and into the early 70's with original songs coming from myself, and members of a band called "Five Bum Train" out of Tacoma/Puyallup Washington. "The Bummers" a group of friends that loved to play music and have a good time developed into a life long friendship. After moving to Georgia I stopped playing music altogether. Never far from music but not involved or playing, I always seemed to have songs in my head. Who knows how many have been lost. A revelation one night brought me back into music composition once more and Ippie Music was created. Since then I have been trying to make up for lost time at a frantic pace. Self taught and playing all the instruments by ear can be a blessing and a curse. Each new song is hopefully bringing something new to the table of listening. All genres are likely to be used. Only my musical ability separates me from the songs I hear in my head.
Your influences?
The Beatles,Todd Rundgren,Tommy Witcher, Captain Beyond, Led Zep, Little Feat, Frank Zappa, The Bummers, Steve Morse ,, Jeff Beck , Steve Winwood, Motown, The James Gang, Black Gospel, Old Country singers, Bluegrass,, Jimmy Hendrix, Five Bum Train, Steak Face, John David Walkord, Bobby Murray, Robert Cray, Pat Donohue and the many fine musicians of "The Prairie Home Companion"
Favorite spot?

I am reasonably different. My music is varied. To create music is the most satisfying experience that I have ever had. To start with nothing and end up with a song is leaving a mark that is truly all yours and personal. To have someone enjoy that music is rewarding beyond measure.

Nice. Ippie's pervasively original talent is full of surprises as the marriage of instruments and vocals draws on a morphing of creativity to produce a blending of sounds typical of an innovative, original style born of innate, intuitive talent to delight the senses.

West is best! I like it more and more each time I listen to it. Keep up the good work. Smooth blending that coalesces the acoustics into a very pleasant sound sensation.
