I'm into good songs. It doesn't matter what genre, a good, well-written song is a good, well-written song, and that's what I strive for when I'm writing. My songs cross genres from folk to reggae to blues, which — commercially speaking — probably isn't to my advantage, but I can't help it. I love so many different kinds of music, I can't just restrict myself to one when I'm writing.

During my sets, I tend to shy away from well-recognized "bar standards," and try to assemble a songlist that fits well together. I'm a big fan of stringing several songs together into one long musical suite, a habit I clearly picked up from listening to so much Grateful Dead.
Why this name?
Um... it's my name...
Do you play live?
Played live during open stages for a couple years at the Blind Pig Saloon (New Ken, Pa.) and had gigs while living in Delaware at Jimmy's (before it got shut down by the ATF, haha) and the former J.W. Pickle's in Georgetown. Also played at a summer benefit a couple years in a row for the now-governor of Delaware, Jack Markell.

Since moving back to the 'Burgh, I have been playing at Books & Beans Coffeeshop, in Leechburg, with the hope of playing some more spots.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Lets me get my music out there. Then again, if someone downloads one of my songs, they can give it to all their friends for free, and I'm S.O.L. Oh well.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yup.
Band History:
Started teaching myself guitar in '99. I've written about a dozen original songs, but I got sidetracked by making hip-hop beats. The songs posted here are mainly culled from a 2003 session. Some have been overdubbed with percussion, some with vocals, some in their original form. There are also a handful of live tracks, recorded in the early 2000s at the Blind Pig Saloon in New Kensington, Pa., with Cray Morrison on lead guitar.
Your influences?
Paul Simon, Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Allman Bros., Gordon Lightfoot, Joao Gilberto, Warren Zevon, Tom Waits, Oak Ridge Boys... I can keep going with this...
Favorite spot?
Pittsburgh, Pa.
Equipment used:
Acoustic guitar, Garageband, various other
