Welcome to the Homicide, and Homicide Records website. The group Homicide originated in Desert Hot Springs California, or "The D Dirty" as we like to call it. We take pride in our music because not only do we present you with lyrical masterpieces equiped with punchlines metaphors and other such word play, but we also explore the more poetic side of rap music. Homicide consists of 4 major members Richard Cromwell AKA Nemesis (lyricist) Antoine Bush AKA R.Reason (lyricist) Blaine Johnson (lyricist) and Gerald Cromwell AKA GTC (beat maker). We've all known each other many years and with the exception of Antoine who is originally from L.A. have spent most of our lives in the D (DHS). Enjoy the site as well as our music. Thank you.

It took us a while to come up with a name that really incompassed the essence of our group, but then it hit us... Homicide, because not only are we killin' the beats lyrically, we are also killin' various common misconceptions about life and the way people believe things are.
Do you play live?
We just try to get into any cypher we can... We're still waiting for the day we are able to grace the stage.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We are very open to the idea of signing with a major label. The bigger the label the more widespread our music will be and thats what we are trying to do, spread the music to the masses, spread the knowledge to the masses, and let everyone know where we are coming from. We don't want to just limit ourselves to our hometown and the people who may or may not stumble across our site on the internet.

We have a broad range of musical influences such as... Tupac, Notorious BIG, Big L, Canibus, Sage Francis, Aesop Rock, Eminem, Jedi Mind Tricks, The Lox, various members of the D-Block Crew, Onyx, Method Man, Redman, Heltah Skeltah, Talib Kwelli, AZ, The Outlawz, and so on... I may come back and add more if I remember them...

Just know that Homicide is gonna hold it down. The Homicidal Nemesis solo album entitled "Id Pandemonium" will be for sale online shortly. I have to give a shout out to my bro's rap crew Suicide, they hold it down with some hilarious shit. Some of them are featured on some of the Homicide Extended Family tracks. Keep your ears open.
