I´m a young guy who enjoys rapping very much. I was born in 1985, and I "started" rapping at age 7, but it was not real rapping, just trying to repeat a song that I liked. Most people sing the songs they like, and the same is with me, in addition that I also like raps, and so I also always tried to rap the songs I like, and so my skills developed through time. English is not my mother language, but in my eyes English is the best language for singing and rapping. In my ears it just sounds the coolest. At age 11, I started learning English at school, and then also my rapping skills got better and better, since I began to understand what I rap or sing. But it wasn´t until 2006 that I wrote my first complete rap song in English. Since then on, I wrote many others and I recorded some nice songs during 2007, in order to have a nice collection which I would like to present to record company, since I would love it to have a contract and do some more professional stuff. The recording of my demo album called "Da Demo" was finished in September 2007, with the great help of my producer and recorder Max Knotz. My music is just about fun and having a good time. I´m not that much into deeper or critical lyrics, since I don´t want to waste my time with serious things or negative feelings. My style is all about the party and about breaking it down. I just want that people have a good time when they hear my songs and that they start to dance. This makes me happy more than you can imagine! There´s nothing better than moving the crowd! And I don´t want my raps to be limited at only one musical style. I love to rap on Hip Hop, Ragga, Dancehall, Garage, Freestyle, Dancefloor and House, since this are all styles which I like very much. So I hope there is something for everyone and I´m glad about any comment you can give about it.
The styles featured on my demo album "Da Demo" feature Ragga, Hip Hop, Freestyle, Miami Bass, UK Garage, Electrotrash, Discodance, Dancefloor, Eurodance, Technodance, House, Electro Chill Out, traditional Arab music and Indian Chill Out music. So you see, it´s a very versatile mix. This is because I like many different styles of music, but I prefer Dance and Techno sounds, since this is the music that I mainly grew up with. If I would get signed, I would try to bring something back from that era and would also try to relive dance music again and put some more freshness, energy and power into it, so that dance music finds it´s way back into high chart positions like this was the case during the early and mid 90ies.

Cheers, Mista DB.

IMPORTANT:
The music on the tracks that I recorded is not made by me. It´s ONLY used for the creation of my demo album (in order to present it to record labels) and is not meant for professional publication or public use, since then it would violate copyrights. My demo album contains 22 songs, of which I wrote 19 songs entirely and completely by myself. Then I recorded the songs at the studio, where I simply rapped over the instrumentals, making only slight modifications to some songs. The most of them are kept original.
Why this name?
Mista came from Mister and DB are my initials.
Do you play live?
I never played anywhere in my life, but I would love to try it in future. I know that would be a lot of fun for me. I´m still not known at all. Only some friends of mine know that I did that demo album.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It ruins it although there is more connection and transparency in the business.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign with any label no matter if major or independent if that label fullfills my demands and wishes.
Band History:
I wrote my first 2 songs in 2006 and recorded them in the same year at a friend´s home studio. In 2007 I wrote 17 songs and recorded them together with 3 songs that I didn´t write at a youth house in my hometown. My demo album called "Da Demo" was finished in September 2007, containing 22 tracks. Now I´m waiting and hoping to get signed. Currently in 2009 I will make another demo album, and I recently recorded 3 new songs for it.
Your influences?
My rapping skills didn´t originate from listening Hip Hop. They largely originated from listening Eurodance, which was very popular between 1992 and 1997 in Europe. The rappers who rapped on these songs were also sometimes called "Techno Rappers", and they influenced me the most, for example
Ray Slijngaard of 2 Unlimited,
Turbo B. of Snap,
MC Eric of Technotronic,
Ya Kid K of Technotronic,
Reggie of Technotronic,
Jay Supreme of Culture Beat,
A.K. Swift of Magic Affair,

Stay-C of Twenty4Seven,
Tony Harrison of Captain Hollywood Project,
Raz-Ma-Taz of E-Rotic,
Herbie,
Outthere Brothers,
Reel 2 Real,
Leila K,
Daisy Dee,
and Sandra Gillette, Max-A-Million and Bongo Boys of 20 Fingers.
Further influences are:
