Why this name?

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows artists to reach listeners that they otherwise would never have the chance to connect with.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, but only without compromising talent for record sales.
Band History:
Aechos [ek-ohs] noun: a greek word meaning "without sound".
AEchos a hip hop group that consists of rappers Mac (G. McRae) and VPsi (V. Lor), based out of Philadelphia, PA. Their music is a blend of old-school hip hop with a mix of soulful hooks and samples. Aechos has a unique sound that is tailored to true lovers of hip hop culture. Both group members reside in the Tri-State Area, giving them a heavy East Coast appeal. They got their start making mixtapes for their fraternity before they decided to set out on a path towards hip hop's elite. Aechos has an influence that reaches fans and followers of hip hop, not only in regards to the emcee, but to all other aspects of the hip hop culture as well.
Aechos member "Mac", is a 23 yr old Jersey City native, who attributes his hip hop roots to his mother, who had always been a fan of hip hop, exposing him to the culture at an early age, and giving him a good frame of reference for future endeavors. Besides rapping, Mac has also expressed himself through DJ'ing, working several venues in the Philadelphia area under the alias DJ Static. Other nicknames include: G Mac & Static.
VPsi, 26, is the son of Hmong immigrants and has been on the East Coast since he was 4 years old. His approach to music is influenced not only by Hip Hop but a variety of other genres as well. VPsi adds a soulful aspect to the group dynamic by blending in unorthodox vocal patterns to the group's complex lyrical style.
Aechos incorporates poetry and socially conscious lyrics over soulful and east-coast beats in their mission to "push the envelope" and pay tribute to the humble roots of Hip Hop culture.
