with a mindset in the past and an ear to the future, dj nev-i-nev, beat prodigy afta-one and the 1995 buterfield spelling bee champion mc speak, created the soul rock affiliates to bring back good music. There goal is not to repliacte the sound of the hip hops golden age (tribe, de la, jungle bros) but to remind people that while a club banger and materialistic lyrics are all good, it sometimes is about getting back to basics, dope beat, simple rhymes and saying something...
Why this name?
we like soul....we rock...we are affiliated with each other....

Band History:
1997- afta one meets speak in 6th grade and calls him gay...
2000-speak forgives afta-one for calling him gay and the two join i.e super group contexual flow with grandmasta sub 7, mike t, and botch..nevi later joins as dj abstrack leaves the group in his final fantasy pick up truck
2001- contexual flow vol. 1 is recorded 15 tracks of lo-fi heat...currently out of print but if u ask nicely ill send one to u!
2003-2004- senior sessions ep is recorded and released...
winter 2005- soul rock affilaites currently in studip working on the full lp!
