BASICK in the BASEMENT. We are a hip hop group inspired by past and presents rappers. We are influenced lyrically by the greatest, a.k.a. the remembered. We have our own style of music. It has good sound, people like to listen. We like go hard type beats. Why this name?
We thought we were a basic type rap group. But we needed to step it up, which concluded us to "BASICK"
Do you play live?
Binghamton, NY. Not a great place to try and be discovered but its home.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet changes the music industry in great ways. it makes an impact. Its an easier way for people to show their sound to the world. And if good enough make it, and get a record deal.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, we most certainly would.
Band History:
Our Group is called BASICK. There are many people involved with the group but the two main artists are Phillip Raimondi aka PJ, and Justin Kilmer aka J-Kill. We are currently selling our first full length album entitled "In The Beginning.." only $5 a copy so get at us for one. We would like to give a special thanks to all the people who have worked with us and will work with us in the future. To all the hater's, its simple...we make music cuz its what we love to do. if you hate it....bring the hate. Shout out to Derek Raimondi aka D-Dash, Dave Rice (Producer), Big Vibe, I AM BRAVE, and all of our friends, family, and fans. So listen to our tracks and add us.
Your influences?
Our influences are the people who impact the world with great music and sound. But also inspiration. If an artist is able to achieve this level of lyricism, that is a person to look up to. Not fake rappers who say things that don't mean anything. They set bad examples which is killing the way people write today. Its beginning to be less and less creative as time gos by. This is what we're here for. To save that.
