This is a new project, featuring arrangements of some of my favourite traditional songs.
Why this name?
Courtesy of Sir Terry Pratchett.
Do you play live?
Yes, if asked, and especially if the cause is right.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It already has and there's no going back - the world is becoming one big, virtual record shop, with loads of freebies.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, if the terms were agreeable.
Band History:
My main aim is to establish myself as a songwriter, in my own right, but there's a great tradition of material out there, which merits revisiting from time to time - hopefully, I can treat it with respect and do it justice.
Your influences?
Far too many to mention - if I had to choose one, it would be Tom Waits.
Favorite spot?
New York.
Equipment used:
Takamine EN40, Squier Telecaster, Variax 500, Danelectro DC12, Errington mandolin, Squier "Telezouk", Fender Musicmaster, Yamaha SY35, a Shure SM58 and a Digitech Vocalist. Backing tracks are compiled in Acid Pro, recorded on a Boss BR900 and mastered in Wavelab.
Anything else...?
Thanks for listening.
