I play traditional Irish tunes, ballads and airs. I also cover folk rock tunes and write a bit. The songs I write tend to be folk rock.
Why this name?
My mother chose it.
Do you play live?
I play sessions and gigs in the central Connecticut area. It's essential for instrumental musicians to play live for the enjoyment of fans and the input of other musicians. Unexpected listener appreciation is always nice.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
With the diversity offered by the internet we can all listen to what we want, when we want. It's great to have access to gems that would have been burried in the old scheme.
Band History:
I've been at it a while. I work hard on producing a warm, rich sound with a nice tempo.
Your influences?
Growing up it was Dylan, Clapton, Tull, etc. Then I took classical guitar and backed into Carolan, the Irish harper bard. Then I found jigs and reels through great men like Eddie Burke and Tom Walsh. PV O'Donnell is great on fiddle. Great Irish bands are Dervish and Lunasa.
Equipment used:
Taylor acoustic and a Eastman fiddle. SONAR for the studio.
Anything else...?
Thanks for coming by.
