I play around Phoenix and Southern California and LOVE IT!! Special moments: When a guy stopped me at the gym and said, "Hey, aren't you Matt Moran, the songwriter?" He and his wife came out to see me play quite often.

You can, as an independent, create product and create a following without a major label.

I started playing at 13 but had been writing songs prior to that. In 2005 I had a book published by a major publisher. After getting two other book projects signed, I turned my attention back to music.

Since then, I have played live, recorded, and won some fans over in Phoenix, LA, Chicago, and even Pakistan!

I began performing coffeehouses, wine bars, and other small venues and have a special affinity for house concerts.
