Fine Females
Hey this is Jesta G. I'm 18, and live in Boise, Idaho. The main things I do in music is rap and make beats, mainly club-sounding tracks. I'm currently working on a couple of "demo albums" with my main producer Wittmiester aka Austin Witt, who records vocals, does back up vocals, mixes and masters, and helps out my beats with bass, trasition percussion, effects, and harmony. Also, I hope to get a few shows ready asap, as well as a business plan for my musical career so I can do more. For now, I hope yall can enjoy the tracks. STAY POSTED FOR MY FIRST CD, A DISCARDED PROPHECY! I'll let you know when we're ready to release it, and trust me, it'll be worth it!!!
Why this name?
I love having fun in life, and that's what a jester (jesta) represents and my last name is Goin. Put em together and you get Jesta G.
Do you play live?
Man I wish I could have an opportunity to play live that would be tight. Boise ain't big on rap, but if you know how I could play a show there, let me know.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
No question it has shaped music. You can now promote yourself through tons of methods, myspace, youtube, soundclick, and numerous others. Music is much easier to obtain and listen to. With justa click you can hear what you want. I hope yall can hear my material one of these days and enjoy it...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
In a heartbeat. I know that there's some crooked people who are out for your money and successes, but I'd rather have that then nothing. I wanna live big in this world and get my message out to as many as possible, and make music for a living. Getting a record contract would help me do so in my opinion.

Your influences?
Oh boy, here we go. I wish I knew more about the good ol days, but the people who I look up to are Afrika Bambaataa, Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G., Bushwick Bill and the Geto Boys, Dr. Dre, Snoop Doggy Dog, Ice Cube, and House of Pain. Nowadays, I'm inspired by Kanye West, Lil Wayne, T.I., Common, Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kweli, The Game, Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Bun B, Juvenile, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa, Sheek Louch, Plies, Timbaland, Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Murs, Young Jeezy, and Pimp C (RIP). Much, much more, but there's a few.
Favorite spot?
Boise, Idaho of course! It's got everything you could want in a city. But I was born in Phoenix, Arizona and I'm a fan of the desert so I can't forget it. Also, I've been to the LA area once, and it was a very cool place. One day I hope to perform there...
Equipment used:
So far, me and my producer use a studio grade mic, a mac computer with reason 4.0 and protools installed on it, and a keyboard to make the music. The quality is great and I'm glad I met Wittmiester because he got skillz wit the producing. We also got speakers that have great blastin sound.
