Traveling Again (Ukulele Original)
play hi-fiplay hi-fi
Originally wrote this song while hiking the PCT back in the early '70 where I adapted it for mandolin and shared it with other hikers. I heard it sung by a lady named Jenny to whom I loaned my mandolin for her Washington leg of the PCT

About the song
That feeling you need to be gone.
Lyrics
I'm like a bird, singing in the snow.
Singing all I know,
singing as I go. Singing as I go.
I wanna be gone like the flowers from December,
like a name you can't remember,
if I'm to be traveling again.
One solution I still can recall.
I learned it when quite small.
Jump over the wall.
Jump over the wall.
I wanna be gone like the flowers from December,
like a name you can't remember,
if I'm to be traveling again.
