Ethics Studio
'Where Principles Come First'
Just a small project among friends that we wish to share.
Honestly we're not even a band we just love playing and sharing our music with others.
My name is Chris Perry and I made this Soundclick as a showcase for the many wonderful and talented individuals that I have encountered along my musical journey.
Songs posted shall array from cover songs from our favorite artists, to some original pieces that we hope you, the listener, will enjoy. All in all, its going to be musicians having fun.
All songs are recorded in my humble home studio and we enjoy playing music and we hope you like it.

Why this name?
The name, Ethics Studio, came from a boy who was bored in his class one day and jotted down some random words. He wanted to pick a name that would define the purpose of why he wanted to record and create music. Then he ran into the word 'ethics'. The definition for the word, as stated by dictionary.com, is " a system of moral principles". Hence from where the motto, 'Where Principles Come First', was born out of. Being pleased that he had found the perfect definition for his purpose, he used the word to create the name for his studio.
Do you play live?
You can catch most of the crew playing live every Sunday at Duraliegh Presbyterian Church. A different sect of the crew you can see playing anywhere in the Cary/Morrisville/Raliegh area. Details of when and where shall be posted either on this SoundClick or their Myspace site, www.myspace.com/nomonkeymusic
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is our belief that the internet has open many doors for indie artists. As musicians there are some things that we crave. We crave for good food, a comfy bed, great sound, and above all... an audience. The way we see it, the internet is one big stage where anyone can shine.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We're a bit iffy on that we'll stay on the indie side for the time being. Music was created by the people and for the people, and I'll be damned if a record label wants to control us and keep us from expressing ourselves.
Band History:
Not much of a band history because we're not really a band.
Most of us knew each other from our church and the others we met at our school. But they all go to one place to lay down their tracks, Ethics Studio.
Each of us have our own musical journey and a different story to tell. That is why the music posted on this Soundclick can not be defined by a single genre. For many of us play a different style and have a different take on whats going on in our lives.

Your influences?
Where do we begin???
Anything that contains passion and soul. Anything that is 'real'. It don't matter about the person!
But i will name one person.
And i quote "Music is the alternating of sounds, the tensions and releases of a pitch, with an emotional attachment." -David Robinson my Sophomore Music Theory Teacher
