My name is Danny Clayburn & I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico USA. I play solo arrangements of bottleneck slide and fingerstyle guitar on a National Resophonic guitar.

I was first taken with this style of guitar playing when I was a teenager, and nothings been the same for me ever since. The slide on the strings is so expressive, almost like the human voice, it has really become the voice I am most comfortable speaking with.

My playing style is inspired by all the music I have ever listened to and loved, and while definitely leaning towards the blues, it also includes almost any form of music played with inspiration and emotion.

I use a lot of improvisation in my instrumentals, some tunes change nearly every time I play them to better fit the current mood or atmosphere. Most of my tracks are done in one take, truly music in the moment.

I play music because I love music, no other reason ~ all my songs are free downloads ~ I just want to share what I play with the world.

Your influences?
Ry Cooder, John Fahey, Steve James, Mike Dowling, Doug MacLeod, Bob Brozman, Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead, Neil Young, Michael Hedges, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, Brooks Williams, Leo Kottke to name a few, almost anyone I hear that plays well influences me to a degree.
Equipment used:
National Resophonic Estralita Deluxe (my Baby!) , Martin DM Dreadnought acoustic (My Good Ol' Buddy!), Diamond Bottleneck slides made from real wine bottles in the UK. My recording equipment is pretty basic, so I'm working on getting the best out of it.
