I make beats exclusively for my nephew Chaos, in which you can check out some of the things we've done @ brooklynknightproductions@myspace.com. We are not profiting from our skills yet because all we want to do is to be heard. Music is our life, so when the day comes that we can profit from it, then that will be extra.
Why this name?
I go by the name Desperado or Despo. It was a name givin to me by a friend who joking around called me that because I use to have long hair, and he said I looked like Antonio Banderas in the movie Desperado. It kind of like stuck with me so I ran with it.
Do you play live?
I use to D.J live but not play instruments live. I started D-Jaying when I was 12 and picked up a passion for producing at the age of 30.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has changed the way artist's music is heard. You don't have to worry about your song playing on the radio station in the city you live in when it can be heard all around the world through the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends on the label, money, and freedom .
Band History:
No band history. I just plan to make some.
Your influences?
My influences are the producers who have never been heard or acknowleged that remain loyal to their music and the belief that one day they will make it big doing what the love.
Favorite spot?
New York City, Time Square is a nice spot to chill at night.
