Struggle And Strife (For Amanda)
I've been writing songs since 1999, used to only write lyrics before that since I was about 15 years old. I love music and this is a small part of my contribution to giving back. I hope you enjoy!
Why this name?
First and middle name, simple as that.
Do you play live?
I play at open mic nights typically. I would like to play with a full band eventually, but for now, solo acoustic is fine, sometimes with synth as well.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has giving us great access to music that we would not find if we didn't have a web to connect us all. It makes it easier to share our work, dedication and inspiration with others.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would love to sign to Epic Records if they would take me.
Band History:
I have been in a handful of bands. Maybe one day I'll go through that history, but for now, the past is simply the past.
Your influences?
Fiona Apple, David Poe, Duncan Sheik, Seal, Sting, Joni Mitchell, Incubus, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, The Unbelievable Truth (Thom Yorke's brother - amazing), and many more.
Favorite spot?
Interlaken, Switzerland
Equipment used:
Um... a washburn acoustic tuned to standard, a Jay Turser Electric Acoustic tuned to DADGAD, Yamaha AW16G 16-track recorder, assorted dynamic and condenser mics.
